What does account security cover?

It means control of your Powerplay247 ID: the mobile number, the OTP, the wallet, and who can see your history. You log in with that number and a one-time code, so a password screen you never set up is a copycat. Phishing is a chat, SMS or page that looks like Powerplay247 and asks for your code, your ID or a 'security deposit' to a personal UPI.

How does OTP security work?

The code arrives by SMS or WhatsApp on the SIM stored on your ID, and it's valid for that login attempt. Sharing it gives the other person the same session you'd have had. A screenshot of it in an unlocked gallery does the same if your phone is stolen.

• Keep the OTP SIM in the phone you log in on.
• Wait a full minute before resending once, because dual-SIM mix-ups delay codes more often than a 'hacked app'.
• Never type an OTP into a new chat, even one using the Powerplay247 logo.
• Turn on 2FA if your ID offers it. If it isn't listed, never pay anyone to 'enable India 2FA'.

What does a phishing attempt look like?

• A link outside this site asking you to 'verify login' or 'unlock the ID'.
• A WhatsApp chat that didn't come from this site's link, asking for your OTP to 'complete KYC'.
• An APK called Pro, Club or Secure that didn't come from the app page.
• A password field on a site that copied the Powerplay247 layout.
• A request to pay a personal UPI 'to secure the account' before you can log in.

Copycat pages copy the colours, but they can't use the number linked to your Powerplay247 ID unless you hand over the OTP. Close the tab, and open this site or the official app from your own bookmark. The login issues page covers error screens, and this page covers fake screens.

What should you do if you already sent your OTP to a stranger?

1. Stop sending codes. Don't resend an OTP to that chat or 'test' a second code.
2. Message the official WhatsApp with your Powerplay247 ID and a screenshot of the fake chat or page, and ask support to lock the ID.
3. Don't register a second ID, because a backup ID in the same name is how both get stuck.
4. Once you can log in again, check your history for bets you didn't place and screenshot them for support.
5. Don't change the number yourself or quietly port the SIM. Ask support before changing your login number.

How do you stay secure on a shared phone?

A sibling who can open your SMS can open Powerplay247, so log out whenever you put the phone down. Use mobile data rather than café Wi-Fi for live bets. If the phone is lost, message support before you worry about the match. Logging in on public Wi-Fi is still risky even if everything looks fine.
