How the IPL season runs
Each team plays 14 league matches, some at home and some away. After 70 league games the top four move to the playoffs. First plays second in Qualifier 1, and the winner goes straight to the final. Third plays fourth in the Eliminator, and the loser goes out.
The loser of Qualifier 1 then meets the Eliminator winner in Qualifier 2 for the last place in the final. That second chance for the top two is worth remembering when you price outright markets late in the league stage.
The BCCI releases the fixture list a few weeks before the season starts. Afternoon games usually begin at 3:30 PM IST and evening games at 7:30 PM IST. Every match is added to the Powerplay247 schedule as soon as it is confirmed.
