How the Champions Trophy works
Eight teams qualify through their ODI World Cup standing. They are drawn into two groups of four, and each team plays the other three in its group once. The top two in each group reach the semi-finals, and the winners meet in the final.
Three group games is not much room for error. A single loss, or a washout, can leave a team depending on net run rate, which makes the Champions Trophy one of the least forgiving events in cricket.

How ODI betting differs from T20
Fifty overs gives the better side more time to take control, so upsets are a little rarer than in T20. It also gives the pitch time to change, and the side batting second can face very different conditions late in the day.
